Born to be a Senior Charity Ride 2025
MARIETTA, GA - I enjoyed working with the nonprofit, Senior Citizens Council of Cobb County (SCC), on their inaugural 'Born to be a Senior Charity Ride' on Saturday, June 28, 2025. It was fun to connect with the motorcyclist community, who surprisingly consisted of many seniors (in Cobb County, Georgia, that's anyone 55 years of age and older).
The ride is aimed at supporting the local (government) Cobb County Senior Services and Must Ministries with food programs for the senior community. In news coverage on June 19, 2025, FOX 5 Atlanta reported that one in five children and one in ten seniors in Georgia face hunger, according to Feeding America. Though the event is over, the need for food remains strong, and the Senior Citizens Council of Cobb County will continue to advocate for the general well-being of its senior population.
Please visit the SCC donation page here via the link: https://tinyurl.com/35dmstxt to contribute any amount you choose. Donations made through July 31, 2025, will support the food programs of Must Ministries and Cobb County Senior Services, helping to reduce food insecurity in Cobb County. Thank you for your support! 😀
Volunteering is one way you can give this holiday season through supporting organizations that help others. The Center for Family Resources located in Cobb County, has Direct Service programs help provide groceries and necessities to those in need (by appointment), offers Rental Assistance for qualifying families, and empowers families to proactively save for their futures through its Savings Incentive Program.
